Q - Is timber suitable for a bathroom space?

A - Yes, it all comes down to the finish applied. We use a 2pac polyurethane finish by Sherwin Williams in a matte finish. This product is similar to that applied to hardwood flooring or your car. Once cured it is impenetrable.

Q - What can I clean my piece with?

A - Sugar soap or detergent water.

Q - Should I avoid certain substances on my timber?

A- Yes, any solvent based cleaners, no mentholated spirits or turps, no gumption or bleach. Also avoid diffuser oils and perfumes, or any substance considered erosive.

Q - What should I do if a trade scratches my piece?

A - Call us immediately. The only way to fix a deep scratch is to respray your piece. No one wants this to happen but it is always easier to deal with this immediately by returning or sending back your piece. We will re spray and get back to you within 1-2 working weeks.

Q - Are your runners soft close?

A - Yes all our runners and door hardware come with soft close mechanisms, with the exception of the push to open cupboard doors.

Q - How do I enquire without knowing which timber species I want?

A - Don’t worry too much about which species is what. Pricing is the same across the board for any of the species we offer. Once booked in we will be in touch with a few questions about your piece, one of which is timber scope for the selection of your piece.
